The Underaged Boy

Here's an interesting post from an anoynymous Lexuality reader:

"last winter vacation at Malate my boytoy-escort introduced me to his regular cigarette vendor. a lad of 16, tall, dark and not bad looking at all (with surprise, surprise - good teeth). he claims to be poor (aren't they all), out of school at present and a Muslim (which doesn't matter a bit to me). everytime he sees me at night he would wave to say hello and if i'm alone would come for a small nonsense chat while i indulge in cold SanMig. i would give hime some peso bills (as i don't smoke to buy his cigarettes) and he would really, really be appreciative.
i've gone fondness for the boy but still find strength to control my urges as he is a minor. one day he asked me, "Sir, how old do you have to be a callboy." my reply "I don't know, different countries have different laws." on my return to my home-base country, i checked our legal library and found out the answer. sorry, my elfin you still have to wait 2 years."

Texting Josh

One of my friends from the advertising world, a photography enthusiast asked me if porn star/ actor Josh Ivan Morales is interested to do a private pictorial session for him. Josh agreed but with a very high asking price.

So needless to say, the deal didn't push through.

Anyway, having been in touch again with Josh, he updated me that he had just finished a shoot in Malaysia, had been appearing for the ABS-CBN teleserye "Kahit Isang Saglit" and he will guest in an episode of "MMK" next week.

Way to go, Josh!

Pride March Volunteers

The Pride March this December is looking for volunteers to celebrate our choices, our loves and our very being as members of the queer community.

Here's their invitation:

"The Participation Committee for this year’s Manila Pride Season and Pride March, lead and organized by Task Force Pride (TFP) Philippines, is inviting more volunteers and members to be part of the Committee. One of, if not the, main project and target of the said committee is to expand the annual Pride March participants from an annual mean of 500 (probably less) persons to a 300% increase and a 2,000 happy and rainbow bunch of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities–lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders, heterosexuals, asexuals, pansexuals, queers, intersexed, non-identifiers etc–and most of all living, loving, and human rights- and equal rights-believing individuals. The Participation Committee has even gone farther by identifying 2,000 as the base number and targetting more than that number. If that happens, this year’s march will not only be the 10th year anniversary celebration of Task Force Pride but would also be the biggest and most diversely participated Pride March in Philippine history."

Let's be proud of who we are.

My Own Gay Story

I have been blessed to be committed to a wonderful man, a business executive who has been separated from his wife. And we’ve been happily together for more than a year.

Last weekend, his father died. Coming alone at the wake, it dawned upon me that in the eyes of the world where my partner lives in, I am nobody.

In his difficult moment, someone in me craves to be the person that he could rely on or even just a shoulder he could cry on. But publicly, that’s just not possible.

Our love exists in a society that demands silence and repression of our relationship.

And that’s just sad.

Hook Up at Mini Stop

Coming from my yoga class at Edsa Shangri-la and wearing my body hugging tank top, I was about to enter Mini-stop at the building where I live, when a friendly and flirty smile from a young boy greeted me.

I pretended not to see the boy as I knew what he was up to. I was dead tired from my yoga practice and was not interested for a hook up aside from the fact that I am already committed.

I got my bottled water and when I got out, the boy was waiting for me. He wasn't bad looking. He has nice Chinese eyes and a lanky frame revealing his young age. When I entered the gate of our building community, the boy followed me as I walked towards my building.

He asked me "anong building mo?" (Which building are you from?). I replied and I quickly asked him, "Ilang taon ka na?" (How old are you?). "18", he answered.

Then I bluntly told him, "Hijo, matanda na ako. Igalang mo naman ako. Ituring mo na lang akong parang tiyahin mo. Huwag mo naman akong karirin." (Young, I am much older than you are. Give me my due respect and treat me like your old aunt! Please don't try to hook up with me.

The boy was "astounded" by my response and quickly walked away.

It was shortlisted based on the recommendation of the “Philippine Daily Inquirer” and invited to participate. It was not submitted which was the usual method movies do to get to join filmfests."

Hi Paolo,

Thanks for reading Lexuality. Email me what is it that you'd like to learn on making movies. Or if you're a college student studying Masscom, I don't mind being invited for a forum or a talk. I enjoy sharing what I have learned in this craft to young people like you.

With regards to Kambyo OST, would you believe that I do not have a DVD coy of Kambyo? Moreso, I don't have a copy of its music video or its mp3 file.

But what I know is, the Kambyo DVD has a music video. You can perhaps grab the music from its file and share it to others as well :)

Lights, Camera, Strip!

I have just seen an independent film blatantly portraying gay filmmakers as sexual predators to their male actors. And to my experience, I must say that this representation is quite inaccurate.

I have done three films with actors being required to go naked and one thing that I have learned is, if a filmmaker wants his actor to trust him, sex and flirtations must be avoided at all cost.

Film production with very low budget just like our films require absolute discipline from our actors. They have to be on time. We need to finish about 30 scenes in one day. They need to know their lines by heart. We cannot afford actors making mistakes on the set. As it will be a waste of time.

Given these limitations, it will be detrimental to our film production if we even think of flirting with our lead actors like Harry Laurel, Josh Ivan Morales, Justin De Leon and Johnron Tanada. Film production is quite stressful even to our actors. We are all forced to live and work with very limited resources. And sexual tensions and its permutations would simply hamper the whole process.

Flirting with actors during production is a big "no-no" for us. As it affects our craft and could lead to unexpected conflicts that would affect the whole process of making the film.

But of course, flirting with actors, after the film production, that's a different story.

Man's Pleasure Spot

I am sharing with you an email I have received from the yahoo group KNYG. This email from a certain Ercelle Diaz enumerates the different pleasure spot of the male human body:

"1- Neck. If you don't know it yet, men love being touched, kissed and licked in this area, so chances are you'll enjoy it just as much as they do. The next time your man is on top in the bedroom and comes close to your face, elongate your neck and let him do his thing.

2- Hair & head. No, I'm not suggesting that he lick your hair, but having a man run his hands through your hair or squeeze his fingertips all along your scalp will help you relax and prepare for whatever else he wants to do to you.

3- Ears. Given that they're clean, having a man lick and nibble on your earlobes, or even doing something as simple as telling you some nasty things he wants to do to you, can have a lasting effect on your erection.

4- Perineum. Located between your scrotum and your anus, this area can provide plenty of fantastic sensations for you. The next time he's greeting your penis with his mouth and hands, encourage him to apply some pressure with his fingers and/or his tongue. You'll be surprised at how much you'll like it.

5- Nipples. Now, this is not for every guy. Some guys love to have their nipples manipulated; others can't stand it. The only way to find out is by letting a partner try it. Let him lick and perhaps suck them. Who knows, if he enjoys doing it to you that much, this might be your "in" to getting him to try it on another man next.

6- Fingers. If a man has ever sucked your fingers, you know that it almost feels like he's sucking your penis. The next time you're engaging in foreplay, stick your middle finger in his mouth and let him suck on it, and see what comes up.

7- Anus. Some guys get freaked out about their backsides, but if you just open your mind, you'll discover that that's where your G-spot is. Whether you let him lick the rim of your anus or place a finger inside and make a "come hither" motion, you'll discover that letting a man have his way in that area will make your sexual experiences that much better.

8- Back & coccyx. Sometimes lying on your stomach and letting your partner run his hands and tongue up and down your back is the best feeling in the world. From massaging you to giving you the chills by lightly running his tongue down the baby hairs on your back, submit to your man and let him enjoy rubbing your back and your tailbone.get to know yourselfThe only way to figure out what you like is by experimenting. So the next time you crawl into bed with a man, let him have his way for a little while, before you have your way with him."

Enjoy and explore!

Gay Men in Harmony

Pride Manila Chorus is the country's first all-proud-gay-men choir. I was one of the first members of this choir wayback in 2004 and I must say the friendship that I have created within this group is something to treasure.

Now, this choir is back and is rehearsing at the California Garden Square (Libertad st., Mandaluyong) every Wednesday and Friday. And the group's harmony is quite remarkable -- interpersonally and musically speaking.

So, if you're a gay man and you're interested to be a part of this choir, contact Raul at 0906-3715928 for details.

Gay Relationship Lessons

It has been more than a year since I have been going out with this very special man in my life. And surprisingly, our relationship has been placidly loving, despite all my unnecessary internal dramas.
My partner is a very discreet gay man, more mature than I am and a respected business executive. It's quite a surprise that he doesn't mind being in a relationship with someone as loud as I am, working on gay movies and always shouting for gay rights and advocacy. Despite our major differences, we've managed to be peacefully together for more than a year now.

Looking back on this relationship that I am currently in, there are a few lessons that I wold like to share.

1. Your boyfriend would not always want to have sex with you. That certainly doesn't mean he loves you less. A strong relationship must be founded on friendship before sexual attraction.

2. Many other men would flirt with your boy friend (especially if he goes to Fitness First), If you don't want that to happen, get an uglier boyfriend.

3. Wait. Learn the art of patiently waiting. Loving requires patience. Things don't happen on our own time. Every relationship has its unique, own rhythm.

4. Be honest. Whatever mistake, whatever feelings or uncertainties that you have regarding your relationship. Bring the issue out. Your boyfriend should never expect you to be perfect. An act of honesty would always build trust between partners.

Masculadoll

Hot Filipino gay book author of "Brusko Pink" and gym freak Louie Cano has just released another compilation of chronicles, essays and sharp observations on the urban gay life of Filipinos.

Louie Cano, in his own words: “File me under Muscle Mary, schizo, or just plain bitch. When sh*t happens, my middle finger rises to the occasion; when romantic anguish eats me up, I take a little mush suicide and seek company with Julia Fordham; when I'm happy I sweat off glitter. I live my life to the fullest—I dance bare top on the ledge, I sing my lungs out, I sanitize my life with my sarcasm diet (I don’t eat pork, I just love men!), I advocate monogamy, I recommend intellectual intercourse, and I promote, uhm, world peace.” Louie Cano is also the author of Brusko Pink, King Kong Barbies & Other Queer Files and Baklese. Baklese Dos is coming out December 2008.

"Masculadoll" is now available at Powerbooks and National Bookstore

Cam Boy Chat

This work of mine was first featured at manilagayguy.com. Let me share this to Lexuality readers:

CAM BOY CHAT

isang malaswang tula ni Lex Bonife

“asl, pare?”

At kapag gabi naman, the best ang night life – sayawan, inuman, chupaan, kantutan.

“Ano ba trip mo, pare”

Kahit anong trip, kaya kong sakyan.
Go ako diyan!

“Wanna Cum?”

I can always cum.

QC Circle

Last Sunday, I read at the Philippine Daily Inquirer that the Quezon City government is taking over the management of it's famous park, the Quezon city circle from the foundation led by Charito Planas.

Quezon City circle is a popular cruising spot among gay men. And it's also a hangout for many male prostitutes along its circumference.

I read somewhere that in a television interview of Charito Planas, she was asked whether she is bothered that many gay men flock to the park that she manages, she simply told the camera "Wala akong pakialam kung ano ang gustong gawin ng mga bakla doon, huwag lang nila sisirain ang bougainvilla ko!" (I don't care what gay men plan to do in my park, I just don't want them to destroy my bougainvilla plants).

2:30am

Here's a poem I have written many many years ago unearthed from an old hard disk.

2:30 am

The Masseur in Briefs (Part 2)

I must say, Ariel's massage was awesome. He had a good pressure technique on my feet and my legs. He actually concentrated on his technique that he didn't bother touching me on the areas that could stimulate me sexually. His back massage was soothingly effective and his work on my arms was good as well.

When he asked me to lie down on my back he brought my hand right by his tummy. And I noticed his young body frame and the bulge right on his crotch. My eyes was soon fixated on his body. And my initial plan not to have any sexual contact with this guy soon faded away from my consciousness. My body was relaxed and here was a good looking guy almost naked and ready for some action.

What was I to do? I gently opened his package. And silently thanked God for this big, wonderful gift slowly growing in my mouth!

The Masseur in Briefs (Part 1)

Last night, I met with one of my producers and he was asking about the development of the film that he would like me to write about. And I honestly told him, that my brain hasn't been functioning for quite a time and I still can't come up with a story concept for his new talent.

Having said this, he immediately asked me to come with him, get into his car and he promised to give me an inspiration.

And voila, we parked in one of the ever reliable massage parlors in Retiro, Quezon city called "Magic". He told me to choose the guy that I fancy and he'll pay for all the expenses.

How was I to turn it down? I haven't been to a "male massage parlor" for about half a decade. And I have always thought that a thousand bucks payment for a "special service" after a lousy massage is just too pricey for me.

The owner of the center warmly greeted us. And a simple carinderia was parked right beside the entrance of the apartment unit turned into a massage center. I was ushered to pick my masseut for the evening.

Having done about three hourse of yoga for that day, my body ached for a good massage more than a man's body on top of me. So instead of choosing the guy that I really liked, I asked for the owner's recommendation on who among the guys gave the best massage.

And he recommended a guy, called "Ariel" who wasn't exactly my type. But don't get me wrong. Ariel is attractive looking exactly like the actor Paolo Rivero. He looked clean and very decent.

The cubicles inside the "Magic" were cleaner and a lot better than I expeccted it to be. Ariel led me to our cubicle and he gave me my towel. After taking a shower, I told him clearly that the massage service was more important to me than the special service that most clients are after. So he had to be really good in it.

From the mirror in front of my bed, I saw Ariel strip into his white bikini briefs showing a young, nice body. And he proceeded to touch squeeze my feet with his firm hands.

To be continued...

SEB at SM Cinema

SEB stands for "Sex Eyeball" for cyber chatters. On the other hand, SM Cinema, the biggest chain of movie houses in the Philippines for the past few years has banned R-18 movies, eventually killing sex in Philippine Cinema.

For this reason, it was a surprise for me that the Crisaldo Pablo's film "SEB: Cyber Games of Love" will be shown at SM Cinema.

"SEB: Cyber Games of Love" stars Julia Clarete, TJ Trinidad, Rayan Dulay, Justin De Leon amon others. And it will be shown starting October 15.

Here's the synopsis of the movie:

Set in present day Manila , some twenty-something guys and gals set uptheir eyeballs with people they just met on the world wide web. Whatare they looking for and who do they want to meet?Daryl, 20 and Jamie, 20, both strangers to each other, agree to meetup with a hot guy they met on the internet chat rooms for a good time. The guy claims he is a celebrity actor. The girls both want to date acelebrity. When the three finally meet in a coffee shop and sit down, the girls begin to compete for the guy's attention.

Menk, 22 and Dean, 26 finally agree to meet up after some fun exchangeof messages through mms. They both know how each other look like andreally enjoy each other's company. They even enjoy the same music. Both know that something really special has been brewing the pastmonths that they have been communicating. And today, something has tohappen. The special feeling has to be expressed and consummated. Butimmediately after they make love, one realizes everything is a falsealarm on love. How will the other take it when the partner realizes heis not in love anymore?

Khia, 25, knows she can not fulfill her duties her husband Mark. Theyhave not had sex for two years. Khia decides to look for possiblealternative partners for Mark on the internet. She finds an old loveof Mark's and asks the woman if she can do it with Mark, while Khia iswatching on the webcam. The woman questions her morals and Khiaexplains how much she loves him more than anything else and how shejust want him to be happy.

Nell, 29 and Andro, 25, found each other on the internet site for men wanting to date men. Unlike other gay men, the two have gone through so many relationships that they want this meeting to be different fromother chance encounters. They try to do away with sex on the firstmeeting. What happens is something a little more deeper and yetfunnier. As each one already knows what it is that they want fromencounters like this, they try to be extra cautious and more honest. However, can one really control love and libido?

Finally, as Marita, 34, closes her internet shop as she has done forten years now, a young man, Myles, 20, knocks on her door and asks herfor coffee. Actually, when Marita gives in, Myles asks for more thancoffee. He asks for her heart. How will Marita accept love if it comesin the package of a very young man fourteen years her junior? How doyou know the right one for you?Four situations, all about love and relationships, to give us aglimpse on how it is to be young and old, to love and break hearts, toconnect and to disconnect, in the golden age of communication technology.

SEB: Cyber Game of Love

Here's an open letter from digital movie pioneer Crisaldo Pablo:

If you noticed these past few weeks, there were lesser and lesser locally produced commercial movies being shown in theaters. This October 15, there will be no commercial Filipino movie that will be shown in a wider scale (like 5 cinemas simultaneously) in Metro Manila, EXCEPT FOR OUR INDEPENDENTLY PRODUCED DIGITAL VIDEO MOVIE "SEB: CYBER GAME OF LOVE" starring the Julia Clarete, Tj Trinidad, Justin De Leon, Marc Cortez and Rayan Dulay with the student graduates of the SISW Acting Workshop 2007.

"SEB: Cyber Game of Love" will be showing in SM Cinemas on October 15, Wednesday and for sure, just like all other "wholesome" indie movies, if in case the ticket sales gets only thirty or less audience, then it will be the last day for the said movie on opening day."SEB" is the story of four couples who met through the internet. Funny, sad, bitter sweet and poignant are the four situations that reflect how the Filipino romantic has adapted to the world wide web.

We do no have the budget to compete for publicity with other Hollywood and other imported movies so we need your support, to fight for the Filipino cinema.

Please on October 15, Wednesday, see our movie "SEB: Cyber Game of Love" and appreciate this product from the collective of students from the most prestigious universities who joined forces during the SISW Production and Acting Workshop by Sinehan Digitales. The movie was applauded during its premiere at the Cinemalaya 2008 festival.

We need your help.

Mabuhay!

Krisis

A special screening will be held this October at Greenbelt MyCinema for "Krisis", a short film starring Nathan Lopez, the critically acclaimed actor who played the lead in "Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros" (The Blossoming of Maximo Oliveros). This time, Nathan plays a teenaged boy confused with his sexuality together with his twin brother Gammy Lopez.

Krisis is a 20 minute short movie about the blossoming of two sexually confused identical twins Peter (Nathan) and Paul (Gammy) who are sharing the same love & admirations for their athletic classmate Martin which will be the cause of their sibling rivalry. In the end, the two will once again prove the old saying that "truly, blood is thicker than water" as they will realize that love for each other is stronger than their affection to one guy.

This work is directed by Dave Cecilio, a Cebu based filmmaker.

Gay Experiences

I am being offered to do a very interesting project that requires me to look back at all my sexual experiences as a gay man.

And from the deepest recesses of my mind, for the past two days I had been trying to recall all the sexual adventures that I have undergone from the dark and dingy movie houses in the decaying parts of the city, to the cold fresh air of UP Diliman and Quezon City Circle, to the noisy and smoke-filled bars of Malate, the dark bath houses all around the metro to the Pornographic shops of New York city to the endless connections and meet up via the internet, I must say I have gone through a lot. And I have a wealthy collection of memories as a gay man.

And I'm just happy to be able to share them to others of my same preference in lifestyle. I will announce this video project very soon once I have finished it.

PS With this weatlh of experiences, I have made sure to have my HIV status checked. I'm negative. So far...

It's official. My producers have given me a "go signal" to write a film which is my personal tribute to the famous "Machete" movies of the last century.

If you are too young to remember, Machete is a film about a statue who comes alive to make love to her beautiful sculptor creator. The first Machete film starred Cesar Montano as the hunky and horny statue. And the second version was starred by Gardo Versoza.

Our film will be very different from its inspiration. First, ours is a gay film. Second, there are no statues in this film.

This is my way of thanking the creators of Machete who gave me several fantasies and memories in my pre-pubescent years.

Sex for Pay?

A talent manager whose new talent appears in a primetime show was banned from the set of this show. Melo (not his real name), the talent manager was accused of asking one of the new male talents of the show if he is game for sex for pay.

I talked to Melo and he confirmed to me that he actually asked if Arthur (again, not the real name), the new young talent is game for a paid sexual service. Melo claimed that Arthur's manager himself confirmed that Arthur is game for such kind of deals. Melo simply asked Arthur inside the rest room if he would go for this deal with him. According to Melo's story, Arthur declined because the boy was quoting a high price that Melo can't afford.

After the incident, Arthur told their Executive Producer about what happened. And the management decided to ban the talent manager from showing up on the set.

I have been thinking. Was it really fair for the management to ban him just because he asked the talent for such kind of service? In the issue hurled against Melo, the talent was never forced. It was clear that there was no forceful act that was done against the talent. He was just queried for his asking price.

What do you think? Was the management fair in making such decision?

Irresponsible Gay Films

I received a very interesting criticism on my films. Here's the message:

I have to say your films are irresponsible. You are universalising western gay ideologies and trying to convert indiginous pinoy sexual norms to the McDonalds way. I’m a American living in the Phils and I lament the westernisation of bakla. What you fail to mention in your films is that western values are based on greed, imperialism and individuality. When it is too late the indiginous Spanish - Pinoy culture, with all its beauties and flaws, will be no more. I say Filipino’s should reject the gay model, not embrace it. Stand up and be counted Filipinos! The discretion of the past was better than the outing of thr present. Look at American gay scenes for an idea of where the Phil is heading.

Hi Max,

Thank you for this note. I am very interested to hear more about your discourses on how my works contribute to the killing of the original "Pinoy Bakla" culture. I am sure that there are many things that you treasure as an outsider of this culture that I have failed to appreciate having been born with this culture.

Admittedly, I am quite individualistic. And I admire the western model of homosexual integation within the society.

Please enlighten us more. What is it with the direction of homosexuality in the west that we Filipinos should avoid?

I appreciate this thoughtful criticism.
