Pulupot in Torino Film Fest

My first screenplay for Monti Parungao "Pulupot" will be screened at the 26th Torino GLBT Film Festival in Italy this April.
“Pulupot” stars former “Survivor Philippines” contestants Justine Ferrer and Echo Caceres. It is Parungao’s second film to be featured at the festival following last year’s “Sagwan.” It is listed in the Tracks Feature Film section.

“Pulupot” is a story of a country boy who dreams of a life in America. However, he is relegated to making ends meet in a sex club, in a world steeped in prostitution and pansexuality.

Naughty Cinema

There's a cinema in Cubao that's pretty popular with sexually adventurous gay men - from the horny young ones to the lonely middle aged men. Its name is "Remar" and it has a solid following among local queer folks that during the height of typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) where hundreds of thousands lost their houses, the gay film, "Bayaw" being shown at that time still had a very strong box office returns.

And because a huge majority of its patrons are gay men, there's a lot of naughty stuff happening inside. But of course to avoid the ire of authorities, discretion is always observed. (that means, no noisy sounds while sucking dicks! hehehe)

Remar is located right behind the Gateway mall along Aurora boulevard. And since our gay film, "Pulupot" is being shown there this week, you can be assured that there's a lot of interesting guys you can meet inside.

"Pulupot" is also being shown at Gotesco Grand Central, which according to my research is another naughty cinema.

Pulupot Exposed!

During the shoot of Pulupot, all the actors were housed in a villa inside the very nice Lakeshore Property in Pampanga. While I and the other gay staff, director Monti Parungao, photographer Ian Felix Alquiros and producer Carlos Barrera were on the other villa (needless to say, my night was boring! hehehe).

I am an early riser so I volunteered to wake up everyone including the actors.

Now, there's an ulterior motive why I like to wake up everyone in the morning because as per my boy scout days, the early morning reveals the woody interiors of all the boys in our tent. So by around 7 am, I was excited to check out the sleeping actors.

But I was in for a surprise. I was aghast to see that some of the actresses (playing bit roles) were sleeping inside the arms of the actors!

I immediately recommended to the producer not to pay talent fees to these actresses since they had so much fun for the evening (The producer being a kind soul didn't hear my case) And from then on, I promised myself never to write any script with small young female roles to keep promiscuous newbie actresses from the shoot of my script!

But did I get to see some morning woody? Oh yes! Thanks to Gio Gapas (who was sleeping in his gray bikinis) and Jeff Luna (sleeping in his thin basketball shorts). My eyes had a great morning!

Pulupot runs on May 12 (Wednesday) at Robinsons Cinemas and other gay friendly theaters around the Metro. And mind you, the MTRCB has approved Gio's revelations in the film.

As usual, the moral gods of the Philippine society, the film censors body has given our film "Pulupot" an X-rating for its numerous penile exposures and gratuitous demonstration of gay sex.

Pump

March 20, Saturday is the last day of shoot of Pulupot. We will be at Fields Ave., near Clark, Pampanga. There should be a lot humping and pumping again among the actors Justin De Leon, Jeff Luna and newcomer Gio Gapas -- just like this photo where Gio is rehearsing how to pump Justin from behind.

Looking back, I should have volunteered to be Justin's stand in for the rehearsals!

It was two long days of hard work for the cast and crew of "Pulupot". We have finished more than half of the film already. And we have yet to complete the last few scenes here in Manila for the final shooting day.

It was fun working again with Justin De Leon (in black shirt), who is again ready to work harder after a personal tragedy (the death of his mom has affected him so much). I was surprised to see daring actor, Jeff Luna (in red tank top and in white shirt) on the set whom I didn't know was part of the film until I came to the set. Jeff was very hard working and was well like by his co-actors. On the other hand, Gio Gapas (in towels) being a newcomer was very serious in his work as this was his first shooting experience.

Will be posting very revealing behind the scenes shots of "Pulupot" very soon. Meanwhile, let me get some more zzzzz's.

Pulupot: Now Shooting

Right this moment, we are in Fields Ave., Clark, Pampanga shooting our film "Pulupot" directed by Monti Parungao. The film stars transexual TV personality Justin Ferrer (of Sruvivor Philippines), Justin De Leon (of Ang Lalake sa Parola) and newcomer Gio Gapas. Will be posting snapshots from the shoot really soon.

This is my first screenplay where my lead character is a transgender. I really hope I did justice to my beloved trannie sisters. And this is my first full length film with "Sagwan" and "Bayaw" filmmaker Monti Parungao (I did several direct to videos for him)
