Gay Man's Choice

The blog author and Ang Ladlad's Danton Remoto
Here's a nice message forwarded to me for all Filipino Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgenders out there:

I did not choose to be born gay nor did I choose to be discriminated for being one. I did not choose to get hurt by becoming who I am. There are so many things I did not choose by simply being gay.

But on May 10, I can finally make a choice, a choice to  stand up against hatred and discrimination, a choice to fight injustice against homosexuality; a choice for equality in sexuality, and above all else, a choice to be free.

Vote "Ang Ladlad" (#89) for party list on May 10.

tama,.kabaliwan po kapag u choose to be a gay o lesbian,,,no no no no,,its never been a choice, para lang syang natural feeling na nasa loob ng pusot damdamin mo na kelangan mong i act at sundin in order for u to live happy at fullfilled as a human,..baliw ang taong nag choose na maging gay sya,its never been easy life, its so complicated,.ang masasabi ko lang ay kung paano mo dadalhin ang pagiging gay mo sa mundo, dun mo makukuha ang respeto ng tao,i can count on my fingers naman ilang gays ang decent, maayos at may breeding ,mas madaming gays ang burikat o bitchy jan..depende sa iyo tlaga yan,,if u r agay pero u wanna have a family,u can get married to a woman naman but b in control at focus,or else unfair naman sa babae diba,..being gay its not a choice but the lifestyle of being gay,its youre choice,..being gay its a sin but the way u act on it its the sin,,.

It would be great to finally have representation in the congress... but how sure are we that we'd have enough votes? Remember we are still a minority as numbers go

Thanks for posting this :-)
