Here are some quick facts on the making of "Ang Lalake sa Parola" (The Man in the Lighthouse)
- Harry Laurel was the first actor to audition for the role of Mateo
- Justin De Leon was the last actor to audition for the role of Justin
- A few day's before the shoot of this digital film, Harry Laurel's manager and mentor Joey Diego committed suicide. The film was dedicated in memory of him.
- The movie was shot in Lobo, Batangas ang in Quezon city. Some "provincial scenes" were actually shot in the city.
- Harry admitted he had a huge crush on Jennifer Lee. His controversial erection in one of his sex scenes with her was a testament to this.
- In recent Filipino cinematic history, this is the only gay film that have actually shown an erect phallus.

Sana Lex mabigyan ng starring role si Justin de leon..The guy can really act magaling sya in fairness..He can be the next Emilio Garcia or the next Jay Manalo...I like Justin in the film...Sana nga magka part 2 ang parola..Pwede naman istretch ang film eh, how both of them survived the struggles of a gay relationship in the city...Si Mateo nagevolve naman, became successful and nalagpasan nya na si Jerome, jealousy, betrayal,temptations and all about gay lifestyle, loving unconditionally ni jerome kay Mateo...pwede pa pagandahin yun...I hope you give this a try/..Kasi for me, Lalake sa parola is indeed the best and the prime-mover gay indie film sa lahat...Harrya nd justin made a good team...

i super like this film..not only it describes our gay life..but also the struggles of a homo couple with a girl between them and all the risks they have to take..plus gustong-gusto ko ring nakikita ang lakas ng hubog ni mateo..feeling ko masarap syang ichupchup..mabuhay ang mga bakla!!ciao..
