Meet Jay at SM

(Baron Gaisler is Jay)

Finally, "Jay", one of the most accclaimed gay-themed Filipino films will now be shown nationwide starting February 4.

This film won Cinemalaya Best Picture last year and is the Asian Hotshots winner this year. Directed by first time filmmaker, Francis Pasion, "Jay" stars Baron Geisler and Coco Martin. It will be shown on SM Cinemas (NORTH EDSA, MEGAMALL, FAIRVIEW, MANILA, STA. MESA, SOUTHMALL, MALL OF ASIA, BACOOR, SAN LAZARO, CEBU, DAVAO, PAMPANGA, CLARK)

I plead all the Philippine-based gay men to support this film so more "sensible" gay films could be produced in the near future.

For me, "Jay" is so far the best written gay film produced from our country. Let's all troop to SM Cinemas to support this project!

CAME ACROSS an interesting article in one of the free Pinoy community papers, i quote :

FILMFEST WHERE?!?

Sometimes, the filmfest is located in a place you've never heard of and will never go to. if the place is well-known, then it's the filmfest that's never heard of. the filmfest where the indie movie "Jay" will compete this month is Berlin and filmfest is called Asian Hot Shots Berlin Film Festival. and before you think it's part of a bigger Berlin film festival, it's not. it's a festival by itself. the festival's first year was last year and it focused on the Philippines. so, one can guess that the festival was started by a Filipino there. do you remember the film festival where Nora Aunor beat Hilary Swank? it was not a film festival. it was at the Cape Tip Estates Festival, a sharing of opinions and favourites by a community of film enthusiasts.
