When I was young, I have been fascinated with the medical condition called "priapism", where one's penis is in constant erection for quite some time and does not return to its flaccid state.
What makes this an abnormal condition is that penis stays erect for more than four hours without any physical or psychological stimulation -- no masterful tongue playing with it nor videos of Josh Ivan Morales in front of you.
The name comes from the Greek god Priapus, referring to the myth that he was punished by the other gods for attempting to rape a goddess, by being given a huge, but useless, set of wooden genitals.
Priapism despite of it's "exciting" characteristics is something that we wouldn't want to happen to us - it may cause damage to the blood vessels of our very precious organ resulting to impotence or may even cause gangrene, tissue death, which could lead to penis removal (which reminds me of Monique Wilson in "Laro sa Baga" and Ruffa Gutierrez in "Loretta")

this problem is also pervasive when guys do not have sex based on emotions but on power. susan bordo wrote a great book about the consequences of de-emotionalizing of male sexuality in The Male Body.
NO WONDER...the TV ad from Cialis and Viagra states a pre-warning that "if an erection lasts more than 4 hrs, consult your doctor."
