Stop the Gay Films!

in photo: Douglas Robinson and Paolo Rivero in "Little Boy/ Big Boy"

"Stop the Gay Films...in UP", this is exactly what's on the mind of the MTRCB officials who sued UP for exhibiting the director's cut versions of their pink films.

And due to this pending case between UP and MTRCB, our film "Little Boy/ Big Boy", directed by Joselito Altarejos about a gay man discovering the value of fatherhood and domestic partnership WILL NOT HAVE AN UNCUT VERSION PREMIERE at the UP Film Institute, which is supposed to be the bastion of academic freedom and expression.

The joy of watching gay films in UP may soon be over.

Mark Dionisio

I stumbled into some photos of Mark Dionisio, one of the busiest sexy actors in the early 2000 with about twenty erotic B movies to his credit.

Having seen him audition for some roles, I could say that Mark Dionisio is one of the most talented hubaderos in this country. He's got depth when he acts and can attack a character with considerable intelligence (for one, I heard, he studied in UP Integrated School)

It's just unfortunate that he doesn't get good roles from serious projects.

I wonder where he is now.

Lessons From a Gay Icon

I was once inside the mansion of this popular gay businessman.

In one of the displayed photos, I noticed how good looking his partner during their younger days. They have been together for more than 20 years, quite a feat for the fleeting gay relationships nowadays.

The businessman shared with me that his partner was then a dancer. He was smitten by his charm so he did everything (and spent everything) to pursue this man.

He told me on nugget of wisdom that he seems cherish in his life: "Sa umpisa, pera pera ang usapan. Sa katagalan, matututunan ka rin niyang mahalin" (at first, it's all about money, but after a while, he will soon learn to love you)

Mr. businessman comes from a different era. Gay Men were yet to be recognized at that time where he found his lover. And for this reason, I understand where he is coming from.

But I certainly do not adhere to this piece of advice.

At the back of my mind, I was wondering, with that considerably impressive wealth that he has built, who wouldn't love him at all?

The Discreet Gay Pinoy in the 70's

Last night, I had the rare opportunity of watching the Lino Brocka revolutionary gay film "Tubog sa Ginto".

The film is revolutionary in the sense that it featured a masculine homosexual as lead character during the early 70's. Back then, gay men in Philippine cinema were cross dressing and objects of humor and slapstick devices.

In this film, Eddie Garcia plays a "discreet" homosexual family man who can no longer make love with his wife and who has uncontrollable desires whenever he sees crotches of men.

Yes, this film is definitely revolutionary, with a parade of crotches from several men, frontal nudity from nude dancers in a dream sequence and butt exposure from the hunky Eddie Garcia and former actor and now, a maverick filmmaker Mario O' Hara.

The film is a domestic melodrama on how the homosexuality of Benito (played by Eddie Garcia) destroys his family eventually leading to the (SPOILER ALERT!)...

death of his lover (Mario O' Hara) and his suicide.

As a melodrama, (it is from the story of Mars Ravelo, the king of comics, illustrated novels in the Philippines and the screenplay of Brocka) it adheres to formulaic tragedy that was common in that era's narratives -- coincidences, dramatic confrontations and clear, linear narrative following the lead character's psychological dilemma.

A breakthrough in this film is that the "wisdom" of society was assigned to the "doctor friend" and not to a priest which was very common in that time. Here, the doctor explains that the son (played by Jay Ilagan) should learn to accept his father being gay just as he would accept a person with disability. (in that era, homosexuality was listed a psychiatric disease in medical manuals)

This film is a must see if you are a Filipino gay film afficionado.

I heard that many of Brocka's rare films will be screened in the upcoming Cinemalaya this year. I hope "Tubog sa Ginto" will be one of them.

John LLoyd & Luis in a Gay Relationship

Yes, Box Office Superstar John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano are in a gay relationship in Star Cinema's "In My Life" which also stars one of the icons of Philippine Cinema, Vilma Santos.

Shoot was done in New York. And the film is slated for release on September!

Thank you Senedy Que for this picture!

Yummy Cum

Do you like swallowing your man's cum?

Here are a few tips for him to do to have a "delicious" cum from Outrage Magazine

WHAT TO EAT:
plums, mangoes, pineapples, nectarines, oranges, lemons, limes, parsley, coriander, buko, spearmint, peppermint, grapefruit and green tea and sweets.

Diabetics' semen tends to have a honey or cantaloupe flavour because of the excess sugars in their bodies.

DON'T EAT:
asparagus, chicken, garlic, onions, dairy products, red meat, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, greasy food, spices, coffee, and chocolate.

Based on this information, i realized, I must have a bad tasting cum. And I don't intend to taste it at all just to prove it to myself. And I don't intend to change my diet just to have a "delectable" cum!

For more information on swallowing "cum", it's health risks and all,

Co-existencce

posted by a friend on my facebook wall:

GAY.

Trend? It's not a shirt.

Rampant? It's not a disease.

It was here way before any of you were born. It's here to stay.

Tolerance, no. Acceptance, no. How do you accept something that preceeded you? It should accept you. You were born into a world with homosexuality. You are in it's turf. You are in the turf of heterosexuals and homosexuals alike.

Co-existence.

The Gay Homophobes

From OutRage London:

Research Shows Most Homophobes are Gay:

New research by U.S. psychologists suggests that 80 percent of men who are homophobic have secret homosexual feelings. These findings have prompted the gay rights group OutRage! to invite 20 prominent homophobic MPs to have their sexuality tested.

In tests by Prof. Henry E. Adams of the University of Georgia, homophobic men who said they were exlusively heterosexual were shown gay videos. Four out of five became sexually aroused by the homoerotic imagery, as recorded by a penile circumference measuring device, (a plethysmograph).

Prof. Adams's research was published as Is Homophobia associated with Homosexual Arousal? in the prestigious U.S. Journal of Abnormal Psychology, (1996, Vol. 105, no. 3, pp. 440-445).

OutRage! has written to a cross-section of 20 homophobic MPs, challenging them to take Prof. Adams's test, to dispel suggestions that their antigay voting record might be evidence of repressed homosexuality.

Prof. Adams says his research shows that most homophobes "demonstrate significant sexual arousal to homosexual erotic stimuli", suggesting that homophobia is a form of "latent sexuality where persons are either unaware of or deny their homosexual urges".

These findings support the theories that homophobia (fear of gayness or support for antigay discrimination) is often indicative of repressed, self-loathing, homosexual feelings; and that many homophobes subconsciously use antigay attitudes as a smoke-screen to disguise their own homosexuality.

Pinoy Gay Kama Sutra

From the Director of "Men of Provoq" and the hit gay film Sagwan, Monti Parungao comes an erotic video on the art of homosexual intimacy. This is "Pinoy Gay Kama Sutra" produced by Viva Digital.

Watch the trailer.

Brocka's Classic Gay Film

"Tubog sa Ginto" is one of the earliest gay films in Philippine Cinema created by no less than the master filmmaker Lino Brocka.

And as part of the commemoration of the 70th birthday of the late National Artist, Cultural Center of the Philippines will showcase this rare film on April 25 (Saturday), 7pm at the CCP Tanghalang Manuel Conde.

"Tubog sa Ginto" stars Eddie Garcia and is probably the first Filipino film to feature a "discreet gay man" as its lead character.

I will definitely not miss this opportunity to watch this gem of Brocka.

A Lover's Picture

Here's my favorite photo of the two lead characters in the film "Little Boy/ Big Boy", Paolo Rivero and Douglas Robinson.

In the film, Paolo and Douglas play lovers who are struggling in the early days of their domestic partnership. Their relationship is made complicated by the existence of Paolo's nephew, played by young TV actor, Renz Valerio. From being awkward lovers, the two men must learn how to become loving fathers.

"Little Boy/ Big Boy" is about the value of rediscovering innocence in our sexually charged gay lives. This film will premieres next month - May, 2009

Birthday Thoughts

Today is my birthday. And I'm posting a few wishes I have for this day:

* I hope our film "Little Boy/ Big Boy" will be successful even if it's not your typical and commercial "gay erotic film".

* I hope the shoot of our next film "Sabong" by Joselito Altarejos will turn out well. Production will start this 2nd week of May.

* I hope I can find time to write a screenplay again despite my extremely busy yoga schedule.

* I hope my screenplay for Cinema One "Rosario" gets chosen.

* I hope I can have a hot sex with a hot hunky guy (I'm just kidding my boyfriend here)

It has also been a year of Lexuality. And this blog has opened opportunities for me to meet wonderful people. Thank you to all my regular visitors (especially to "Line of Flight" you amaze me with your thoughts).

Salamat!

PS I need to clarify that the picture on top, that's not me! (as if I have to mention it)

Paolo & Douglas

Here's one of the sexier still photos from the upcoming film "Little Boy/ Big Boy" directed by Joselito Altarejos starring URIAN Best Actor nominee Paolo Rivero and Douglas Robinson (Bridal Shower)

The film is now under post production. And yes, I wrote the script of this film :)

An Orgasmic Requirement

Dear Lex,

I'm a 24 year old female from San Juan. My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years and we've had good sexual relationship

Recently, my boyfriend has had changes in his sexual behavior. Before he can achieve orgasm, he wants me to say in my lowest possible voice "Wow, pare sarap! Ang sarap ng fuck mo pare!"

What's wrong? Why do you think he's asking me to do this?

Thanks for your advice.

Of Virgin Mary & Transexuals

I recently met someone who is a relative of the famous Virgin Mary visionary from Agoo, La Union, Judiel Nieva. In the early, 90'sm this eleven year old boy has been a household name for Filipinos as thousands have flocked in his hometown to witness the different Marian apparitions he has claimed to be a witness of.

But his Marian phenomenon has been declared a hoax by the Catholic Church.

Now, if you haven't been a follower of Filipino pop culture, Judiel Nieva has changed his name to "Angel Nieva" and has been wearing woman's clothes. And according to my source, Angel has been doing several modeling assignments mostly abroad and has been dating some influential politicos as well.

Now, I was wondering. If the church has approved his Marian phenomenon to be authentic, would he actually allow his "transexual" self to manifest publicly? Had this been the case, could this be a public affirmation that Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ and other Christian figures do actually accept transexuals or perhaps the whole gay community?

I'm just curious. What if that had been the case? Would the church change its point of view on gays?

"Illegal" Gays

Here's a blog post on the tragic situation of gay men living in Syria, an Arab country in Southwest Asia:

I'm from Syria, I live in Aleppo, the second largest city in the country. I'm 32 years old now, & have been struggling with the situation here ever since I knew I was gay.

I will make this short & state some points that are very noticeable and tell you about a devastating experience I have been through;

1. It's ILLEGAL to be gay in this country and one might go to jail if known as gay.
2. People think it's immoral to be gay or to have homosexual desires.
3. We have some cruising areas in the country and they get raided frequently now, so the internet is the safest place to meet people.
4. People who try to pay for anything that is defined as gay-related over the internet would be followed & arrested sometimes, so it's scary to subscribe for any online services.
5. People who are noticed accessing homosexual sites from an internet cafe could be arrested too.

One devastating experience I had was when I was fired for being gay and was threatened to be exposed if I sought the remainder of my benefits & salary.

Currently we cannot see any changes in the way this country treats homosexuals. The situation is getting worse than it was years ago, with undercover cops trying to get people arrested just for wanting to have sex.

I hope the information above tells something about the situation here. All what I hope for is to try to make up a counseling forum to help people who are struggling with their sexuality. I have heard of 2 suicides last year, and although I cannot confirm the validity of that news, I think it's true because of all the suffering and stress in this country and in the Middle East in general.

A Hunky Entourage

I had a nice afternoon chat with my longtime crush and my favorite blog author, RD Dantes over a few drinks at "Hey Jude" in Boracay and one of the things we talked about is the interesting holy week ritual of RGG (Rich Gay Guy) in the island.

Every holy week, RGG who is also a very fit guy brings along with him several models and hunks in the island and parades them around the white sand alleys of Boracay.

It wasn't just RD who relayed this story to me. One of the stars of one of the films I have written, HA (Hunky Actor) also confirmed this story to me with juicier details.

According to my actor friend, RGG befriends all the straight gym buffs of a particular fitness center, and from the gym, he builds his annual entourage.

According to HA, one must have a six-packed abs to avail of the all expense paid trip to Boracay. And most of the straight guys just love to be a part of this. Because RGG, doesn't rquire too many special sexual favors during their stay.

All he requires is for him to touch their abdominal muscles as he pleasures himself to orgasm. A small price to pay for a trip to Bora!

So did HA, did it with RGG? Certainly! And I must say, RGG is such a lucky guy!

12: The X Rated Trailer

Dose is the directorial debut of the talented screenwriter Senedy Que (Munting Tinig, Troika). Produced by Cinema One, this trailer "Dose" has been rated X, unfit for for public viewing by the moral guardians of Philippine Media, the MTRCB.

Dose stars three-time Brussels Int'l Filmfest Best Actor, YUL SERVO and 2008 Thessaloniki Int'l Filmfest Best Actor, EMILIO GARCIA. This is a story of unusual love, unstoppable lust, and loss of innocence.

Watch out for "Dose" in film festivals worldwide.

The Secret of My Discreet BF

I had a nice chat with with one of the most iconic television writers in Philippine Entertainment over a fruit shake along the white beach of Boracay.

Mr.J, the award-winning and critically acclaimed writer confessed that when he was about 26 he was living in with a very masculine boyfriend.

In one weird incident of their lives, ten minutes after leaving their house for work, he realized he had to come back for some important document that he had to bring with him. Lo and behold, as their bedroom door opened, he caught his "very discreet" and "very masculine" boyfriend prancing around in a sexy woman's dress.

His "discreet" boyfriend upon being caught with his much kept secret, jumped to the bed and covered himself with blanket.

Mr. J didn't know how to react and just blurted out "okay lang yun!" (that's okay!)

But deep within him, it was far from being okay. He felt betrayed.

The incident led to the breakup a few months after.

Stop Girls From Flirting

My almost a week of stay in Boracay have exposed me to some very uncomfortable situations -- girls in bikinis flirting with me.

It was a good thing my sense of humor was always ready to diffuse this awkward situation.

Here are a few of bits of my experiences that could serves as tips on how to ward off these seemingly cute and innocent girls flirting for your attention if you are a gay man. bu

Situation 1:

While I was jogging by the seashore, two girls in nice bikinis called my attention and asked me to take their photos. After I obliged to do so, one of the girls talked to me.

GIRL: Thank you. Are you alone? Where do you stay?

LEX: No. I'm with my family. That's a nice bikini. Where did you buy that? I would love to wear one.

Lex exits.

Situation 2:

I was at one of the well crafted beach chairs of Discovery Shores when one girl sat beside me. I was singing my heart out with my ipod playing an Eraserheads song. I looked at the girl who was beside me and continued singing. After my song, the girl talked to me.

GIRL 2: I noticed you were looking at me while you were singing. Were you singing for me?

LEX: Not exactly. But would you like to hear me sing some Mariah Carey songs? I hit the high notes really well.

The girl smiles. Lex grins.

A Top Guy's Lenten Sacrifice

The season of Lent is the time for many Filipinos to endure sacrifices and some even physical torture to profess their Christian faith.

A friend of mine who is classified as a top (on an anal sex perspective) shares that his penitence for this season is to get himself "bottomed". He is willing to endure the pain of being an anal sex receptor in lieu of this season.

Friend, I commend you for this act of faith!

Boracay Sightings

People watching in Boracay is a nice way of confirming one's speculations on the "familiar" strangers of one's daily life in Manila.

I call them "familiar" strangers because I see them regularly in Manila but I never really talk to them.

For instance, I just spotted a good looking Physical Trainer whom I regularly see at the gym walking with a fit gay man holding him by his arm.

And another very discreet hunky guy from the gym has been walking around with another hunky guy for the past two days sweetly talking to each other along the alleys of this island. What does this imply? Just ask another gay man.

Indeed, life is a bit different in this side of the country.

Another Victory for Gay Marriage

Here is another good news on the gay rights struggle in the US:

MONTPELIER — Vermont has become the fourth state to legalize gay marriage — and the first to do so with a legislature’s vote.

The Legislature voted Tuesday to override Gov. Jim Douglas’ veto of a bill allowing gays and lesbians to marry. The vote was 23-5 to override in the state Senate and 100-49 to override in the House. Under Vermont law, two-thirds of each chamber had to vote for override.

The vote came nine years after Vermont adopted its first-in-the-nation civil unions law.

It’s now the fourth state to permit same-sex marriage. Massachusetts, Connecticut and Iowa are the others. Their approval of gay marriage came from the courts.

Tuesday morning's legislative action came less than a day after Douglas issued a veto message saying the bill would not improve the lot of gay and lesbian couples because it still would not provide them rights under federal and other states' laws.

Gov. Jim Douglas, who vetoed legislation, said, "I prepared myself for this outcome and predicted it. The outcome was not unexpected."

He had called the issue of gay marriage a distraction during a time when economic and budget issues were more important.

"What really disappoints me is that we have spent some time on an issue during which another thousand Vermonters have lost their jobs," the governor said Tuesday. "We need to turn out attention to balancing a budget without raising taxes, growing the economy, putting more people to work."

House Speaker Shap Smith's announcement of the vote brought an outburst of jubilation from some of the hundreds packed into the gallery and the lobby outside the House chamber, despite the speaker's admonishment against such displays.

The true jubilation didn't start until everyone gathered downstairs where they congratulated legislative leaders who championed the cause.

Among the celebrants in the lobby were former Rep. Robert Dostis, D-Waterbury, and his longtime partner, Chuck Kletecka. Dostis recalled efforts to expand gay rights dating to an anti-discrimination law passed in 1992.

"It's been a very long battle. It's been almost 20 years to get to this point," Dostis said. "I think finally, most people in Vermont understand that we're a couple like any other couple. We're as good and as bad as any other group of people. And now I think we have a chance to prove ourselves here on forward that we're good members of our community."

Dostis said he and Kletecka will celebrate their 25th year together in September.

"Is that a proposal?" Kletecka asked.

"Yeah," Dostis replied. "Twenty-five years together, I think it's time we finally got married."

"Threesome" Relationship?

One of my friends asked me "What can you say about three way relationships?"

And I replied, "What the hell is a three way relationship?"

My friend described that he is now the boyfriend of two men who are both in a relationship. In short, there are three men and one relationship and each man openly professes his love and commitment to the other two guys.

According to my friend, the golden rule in this relationship is that nothing should be hidden or kept secret from any of the participants.

I am just amazed on how human beings continuously redefine the meaning of relationships.

How about you? Do you think this would work?

Gay Dating 101: Cut Your Losses

My neighbor Mr. A started dating a fellow colleague of mine. For their three months of being together, my colleague has started borrowing money and gadgets from my neighbor.

Mr.A soon realizes that my colleague has started avoiding him for reasons he cannot explain.

After several cconversations with my neighbor, I realized invoked another valuable and practical rule from the book The MANDates: 25 Real Rules for Successul Gay Dating by Dave Singleton:

"Cut Your Losses When It's Clear It's Going Nowhere"

Mr. A set a deadline that my colleague should return all his money and gadgets on a particular date. And without demanding any explanation, Mr. A visited my colleague in his place of work and got back everything he owned from my colleague.

Douglas Robinson is the "Other Boy"

Douglas Robinson plays Tim, the lover of Paolo Rivero in the new film "Little Boy/ Big Boy".

Douglas was first seen as one of the hunky men in the critically acclaimed film "Bridal Shower". He stayed inactive in show business for a time because he went to the US to visit his American father for the first time.

He was discovered by talent manager Douglas Quijano a few years back while he was working as a life guard at the Waterfronth Hotel in Cebu.

With his "meaty" role in this new film, "Little Boy/ Big Boy" directed by Joselito Altarejos, Douglas is willing to show more than he's meat. He's determined to show what he's got to go somewhere in the entertainment industry.

Fun Orgy Scene

Yesterday was the first shooting day of the latest film of Joselito Altarejos "Little Boy/ Big Boy".

It was my first time to meet our lead actor, Paolo Rivero (Live Show, Daybreak) and the young actor Renz Valerio (TV's Joaquin Bordado), who plays Paolo's nephew in the story. Actor Douglas Robinson (Bridal Shower) was also present. The first few scenes went smoothly as the Paolo and Douglas played a young domestic couple struggling to deal with a "son".

The highlight of the day was the shoot of the orgy scene of about 13 men who are composed mostly by my sexy friends from the gym. The scene was really fun as many of the men who participated really got into the heat of the scene. Some were evidently having a raging hard on. And some stripped off their underwears in deference to the erotic atmosphere.

Despite of finishing the shoot at 4am, all gay men in the set and all the talents were evidently happy.

Will post pictures soon!

Pa-Mhin-Ta!

I was walking by the tricycle dominated street outside of our condominium building when a three teenaged gay men with long hair and pubic hair revealing shorts started shouting "Durog! Durog! Durog!" and "Paminta! Paminta! Paminta".

In Filipino colloquial language, Pa-mhin-ta means a gay man who discreetly disguises his gender with masculine behavior and style.

And I just realized, the gay men were actually making fun of me.

I was amused. I am the last person who would ever hide my sexuality from the public. But here I am, being ridiculed by my fellow gay man, for being who I am.

Meeting Mark Joseph

Mark Joseph is one of the male icons of the infamous penetration movies (PENE movies) wayback in the 80's. He was the favorite leading man to the wild sexy stars of the 80's: Sarsi Emmanuelle, Myra Manibog and other stars who were unafraid to be "penetrated" by their co-actors in front of the camera.

So, it was such a pleasure for me to bump into Mark Joseph in the "weights" area of a popular gym somewhere in the east of Metro Manila. He was introduced to me by his personal trainer as a former actor and is referred as "Doc Mark". I asked what his name was as an actor. And he said he was "Mark Joseph".

Most of the older gay men I know adored Mark Joseph for his gifted thing down there, so upon hearing that name, I immediately looked at his crotch, and then I knew, it must be Mark Joseph. His thin jogging pants gently covered a gigantic package between his legs. My eyes wondered in astonishment. And he was a bit surprised to learn that someone actually still recognizes his name. His personal trainer wondered why I knew his name as an actor. And I just told him, Mark Joseph's an icon!

His face, albeit showing the signs of at least 40 years of life, revealed beauty. And his body was certainly fit for his age.

we chatted for a while and I learned that he is now a practicing chiropractor. He studied in the US and has been holding clinic somewhere in Quezon city and Greenhills.

So, is there a good life after being a Filipino porn actor?

Yes, there is! (I hope Josh Ivan Morales is reading this)
