Why do gay men date?
Is it because we want to commit ourselves for a lifetime of partnership? Or do we want to build a family with adopted children? or perhaps, build a business or purchase real estate together?
Gay relationships have redefined partnership goals. We are too diverse to share one common goal hence, there's no one way that will serve every other relationships.
Here's a convenient decription from American writer Dave Singleton from his book the "Mandates" -- we date to "find the man who attracts you, sustain your interest, makes you as happy as you make him, and wants the same level of dating as you."
